Carson Tahoe Health celebrates community support, continues to address COVID-19 as team

With the continuing spread of COVID-19 within the U.S., the healthcare providers of the greater Lake Tahoe, El Dorado Region are working closely with each other and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as California and Nevada health authorities, to care for affected individuals. We are also jointly taking steps to limit person-to-person spread within our communities.

Lyon County to close offices, work will continue via telephone, email and fax

YERINGTON — In response to Gov. Steve Sisolak’s mandate regarding COVID-19, Lyon County offices will be closed to the public beginning March 25, 2020. However, we will continue to serve our communities by telephone, fax and email, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

DETR requests employers to submit first quarter 2020 employer’s contributions and wage reports

The Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR) is requesting those employers who will close before the end of March to submit their first quarter 2020 Employer’s Contributions and Wage Reports as soon as possible. Employers can utilize online services for filing and making payment. The advanced timeline applies only to reporting, with payment of any taxes not due until April 30, 2020.

Carson City Leisure Hour Club recognizes KNVC for community commitment

Carson City’s Leisure Hour Club recently donated $500 to KNVC community radio, 95.1 FM. The station was chosen as one of the club’s Outstanding Community Organizations earlier this year. The award was presented to Joe Bly, KNVC Program Director, at the station’s studios in Carson City.
