Hometown boy returns to Carson City and joins hometown vet

CARSON CITY — Nikolai Kolupaev, a third generation Nevadan and Carsonite, knew from the time he was 8 years old he wanted to work with animals. When he was 16, he applied to work at Lone Mountain Veterinary Hospital in Carson City.
Carson City area weather: Cold front brings mix of snow, rain and freezing temperatures

A blustery Saturday brought overnight rain to the valley and snow to the higher elevations, with the weather service advising the coldest part of system to happen early Monday and Tuesday mornings.
