Carson River history trunk will be at Dayton State Park on May 21
Submitted by editor on Thu, 05/11/2017 - 12:38pmDAYTON, Nev. – The Carson River flows through two states, six counties and several communities before it ends in a “sink” east of Fallon.
It is one of few terminal rivers, meaning that it will never reach the ocean. Join park staff for a history trunk discussion, led by River Wrangler Linda Conlin.
The Carson River history trunk contains historical items, examples of local plants and animals, maps and photographs. Participants will take a short walk along the river and hear about the successes and challenges of preserving this precious, natural resource.
