Village with Heart will be having about 50 artist and artisan booths, live performances by such artists as Acoustic Guitarist Mike Badinger, singing, & dancing by Jakki Ford, Yasmina’s Belly Dance Troupe, Johnny T's Band Abandon Minds,Uklear Fusion, Poly Nui Polynesian Dance, and teen performances by Art in Motion as well as others.
There will be shopping, art demos, do-it-yourself booths such as Tandy Leather and hands on messy fun for the whole family!
Blue Bull presents Dueling bands on Telegraph

Come down and support the Bootleggers on one stage and Sin of Angel's on the other. We will have food and the Coors lite truck to cater and of course the bar will be open. Hope to see you down here.

Carson City firefighters called to brush fire at 5th and Saliman
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 06/30/2014 - 8:25pmUPDATE: Carson City firefighters were called to a brush fire burning Monday night in the area of Saliman and Fifth Street. The call was dispatched at 8:19 p.m. and is considered suspicious in nature.
A reporting witness said they saw a person intentionally start the fire and leave the scene. Arriving firefighters quickly doused the flames and the fire in the area of the Lompa Ranch was reported out at 8:26 p.m.
The northbound lane at Saliman was closed briefly before being re-opened at 8:44 p.m.
Fire investigators say arsonist started four brush fires along Lake Tahoe hiking trails
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 06/30/2014 - 7:02pmLake Tahoe fire officials, the U.S. Forest Service and Douglas County authorities are investigating a number of intentionally set brush fires lit near four hiking trails in the Stateline and Zephyr Cove areas.
In the past two weeks, four separate small brush fires have been started off of hiking trails, said Douglas County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Pat Brooks. Because of the nature of the fires, they are believed to have been started by the same person or persons, Brooks added.
Douglas County authorities arrest man on child pornography charges
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 06/30/2014 - 6:51pmA 55-year-old man was arrested June 26 on suspicion of several felonies including possession of child pornography after investigators found camera equipment inside the home of a victim, a Douglas County Sheriff's Office spokesman said.
Michael Joseph Donovan was booked into Douglas County Jail on $50,015 bail and remains in custody as of Monday night. According to Sgt. Pat Brooks, Donovan went to the home of a family friend and allegedly planted a cell phone equipped with a camera inside a bathroom, capturing an image of the private area of another person.
Volunteers invited to clean up Tahoe beaches Saturday

Volunteers of all ages and abilities are invited to join the effort from Tahoe City to Nevada Beach and South Shore.
Carson City man receives life sentence for sexually assaulting child

Johnson, 49, was sentenced Monday in Carson City District Court for 7 different counts of illegal sexual acts with a minor.

Thunderstorms, gusty winds and heat prompt Red Flag Warning for Tuesday
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 06/30/2014 - 12:56pmWith expected triple digit heat, low humidity, gusty winds and possible thunderstorms ahead for Tuesday, a Red Flag Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service.
The area extends from the greater Lake Tahoe area, Carson City, western Nevada Sierra front, from Mineral and Southern Lyon counties and runs from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
