Wolf Pack opens busy week with win over Sonoma State
With six games scheduled over a span of seven days, the University of Nevada baseball team embarked on its busy week by cruising to a 10-3 victory against Sonoma State on Tuesday afternoon at Peccole Park.
Shortstop Kevin Rodland homered twice and drove in four runs, including a homer to lead off the home half of the first inning to help the Wolf Pack improve to 9-6 on the season. Nevada scored four runs in the first to take a lead it never relinquished against Sonoma State (9-14).
Former Western Nevada College standout Brian Barnett also hit 1-for-3 with a two-run double in the fifth inning that extended the Wolf Pack lead to 6-1.
