Nevada environmental health investigate viral video of alleged chemical waste dumping

A viral video circulating since Tuesday that purports to be illegal chemical waste dumping is being investigated by Nevada environmental health officials. A Mound House company acknowledge to the Reno Gazette-Journal that it is the company depicted in the video.

The 1 minute, 51 second video has appeared on Reddit and other social media channels. it was posted by a person with the name of Luke Murray and has generated nearly 500,000 views.

Dayton burglary suspect shoots self with stolen gun while watching firearm safety video

Two people were arrested in connection with a rash of burglaries in the Dayton area during the past month with a break in the case discovered early this week when one of the suspects accidentally shot himself with a gun he allegedly stole, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office said Friday.

Over the past month the Lyon County Sheriff's Office has been investigating approximately 18 Dayton residential burglaries in the Riverboat Road, River Park, and Sutro neighborhoods.

Wine and cheese are a much better alternative to flies anyday. It’s National Cheese Day and Old Maids Day, so all you single ladies go celebrate; an old maid ain’t what it used to be. For those of you with kids, head over to the Carson City Library to visit with Mother Goose: she knows what to do if one swallows a fly.

They are the ones that sponsor the numerous carnivals at Mills Park throughout the year, in addition to coordinating volunteer programs and helping seniors stay independent.

Every year on March 17, the Irish and the Irish-at-heart across the globe observe St. Patrick’s Day. What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods and a whole lot of green. Carson City definitely gets in on the game with festivities all over town. Corned beef and cabbage, green beer, and live music abound. I've included a short YouTube video of Tom and Mary Kay Aufrance who will be performing at Red's this evening.

Gung Hay Fat Choy! Happy Chinese New Year; welcome to the year of yang, which could be a goat, a sheep, or a ram, depending on the translation. Time to reunite with family and loved ones and celebrate spring. New York City got in on the festivities with its first ever fireworks display for the Lunar New Year; I've included a YouTube video, just in case fireworks really are lucky.

The Pizza Factory on Hwy 50 East is holding a fundraiser for Eagle Valley Middle School today. 20% of the day’s proceeds will benefit their Parent Teacher Organization.

Carson City locals create YouTube video that reaches over 200,000 viewers

Most people may consider internet videos to be a quick way to get an easy laugh, but what some may not be aware of is that there's an entire niche of them that are specifically made to amaze and awe the viewer, sadly most of those videos will remain in the low numbers of reproductions regardless of the hard work that's been put onto them, but if after investing days of recording and editing it gets 200,000 people engaged in the plot and entertained by its content, it can certainly be said that an impression not all can achieve, has been made.
