November Wine Walk, bike tour, craft fair and more highlight weekend events around Carson City

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region. The November Gobble Wine Walk kicks off in downtown Carson City followed by a new “Paths and Pedals” bike tour. Sierra Lutheran High School is also hosting a Christmas craft fair on Saturday. Combined with live music and virtual events, there’s plenty of activity happening in the state capital! 'Whose Line is it Anyway?' Alum Laura Hall to teach and perform in Carson City

The Brewery Arts Center in Carson City will present a performance with Comedy Improv masters Rick and Laura Hall on Sunday, July 1 in the Performance Hall at 6 p.m. This performance will also feature local players from a sold-out workshop the pair will host at the BAC earlier in the day.

It’s going to be a chili weekend, and that has nothing to do with the weather. The annual Chili on the Comstock Competition takes over the tiny town of Virginia City, including a saloon crawl Saturday and the hilarious ‘Fun with the Runs’ 5K. Families will have a hard time choosing between the Cops and Kids Open House and Safety Fair at the Sheriff’s Office and the ‘Kids to Parks’ Day activities at Silver Saddle Ranch. Friday fun in Carson City and Beyond: Bike Week Bash, Singin' in the Rain and much more

We’re in for another gray day, but that won’t affect the fun to be had. Bike to Work Week always ends in a big bash. Head down to McFadden Plaza, even if you didn’t take the challenge personally. You’ll find live music, raffles, bike games, and too much fun. Western Nevada Musical Theater Company returns for another weekend of Singin’ in the Rain at the Bob Boldrick Theater. Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours are waiting to entertain you at the Brewery Arts Center. There may be some balcony seating still available, but tickets are very limited.

Laura and Rick Hall Comedy Show

On Aug. 3, some of the best improvisors in the the Carson City area will take the stage along with Laura Hall from "Whose line Is It Anyway" and Rick Hall from The Second City and "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Based on audience suggestions they will create comedy scenes on the spot, improvising games and songs like you've seen on "Whose line Is It Anyway."

Audience participation is a key ingredient and occasionally an audience member will be brought up on stage to lend a hand. This show will be combo platter of fun! Saturday, August 3rd at 7:30pm, BAC performance hall, 511 W King Street.
