Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020 that there are 55 new cases and 40 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. Nineteen of these additional 55 new cases are from the Warm Springs Correctional Facility in Carson City. This brings the total number of cases to 2,793, with 2,048 recoveries and 27 deaths; 718 cases remain active.

The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection announced plans Wednesday to convene its first webinar on Clean Cars Nevada, an initiative to evaluate the adoption of new regulations that would provide Nevadans with more choices for low and zero emission passenger cars and trucks offered at Nevada-wide dealerships, beginning in 2024.

A small airplane that made an emergency landing in a field Wednesday afternoon near Fremont Elementary School in Carson City was moved for tow to nearby Saliman Road, across from the school.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies we're called Wednesday afternoon to an emergency aircraft landing that happened in a field near Fremont Elementary School.

Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called Wednesday morning to a vehicle rollover on Highway 50 west, approximately 2 miles from Spooner Junction.

CCHHS is also reporting 24 new cases and 9 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 1,961, with 1,760 recoveries and 25 deaths; 176 cases remain active.
