Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Wednesday that there are 21 new cases and 24 additional recoveries in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 1,667, with 1,468 recoveries and 21 deaths; 178 cases remain active.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020 of an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad County region. The individual was a male Lyon County resident in his 80’s. CCHHS is also reporting 26 new cases and 33 additional recoveries in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 1,646, with 1,444 recoveries and 21 deaths; 181 cases remain active.

The 2020 Virginia City Grand Prix has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

Entering its 49th year, Virginia City’s historic annual off-road race was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17 through Sunday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event was rescheduled twice in hopes of holding the event for 2020.
