Toys for Tots is in need of volunteers for packing and distribution of toys. The annual Carson City area Toys for Tots program collects toys during the holiday season and distributes them to those families in need. Toys for Tots is run through the Ron Wood Family Resource Center in Carson City.

Toys for Tots Drop off at Farmers Insurance

Farmers Insurance District office is once again a designated drop off location for Toys for Tots sponsored by U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Our office is located at 425 East Long Street (corner of Long and Roop). If any questions please call us at 434-0545.

Toys for Tots 2017 Carson City hotline opens Nov. 27

Toys for Tots in Carson City, Douglas, Storey and Lyon counties will be kicking off the season to bring Christmas Cheer to children in the local community. If you are in need of toys, the hotlines begin Nov. 27 at 9 a.m. and run through Dec. 22, 2017.

Senator Square: Carson High senior projects are more than a graduation requirement

Raynna Jackson began helping with Toys for Tots at the Ron Wood center before Thanksgiving in order to fulfill her CHS Senior Project graduation requirement; she decided to help give underprivileged children a Merry Christmas.

She started by putting boxes at CHS and her mother’s place of employment, Natel Company. Toys for Tots serves more than 2,000 Carson City area kids every Christmas, and Raynna took this personally; she wanted to help bring in even more gifts. Raynna ultimately facilitated the gathering of 2 large boxes of toys.

State collects hundreds of toys for Carson City tots

Just five days before Christmas, the state of Nevada has ensured something under the tree for hundreds of local children in the Carson City area this year.

Capitol Cab makes annual toy delivery to Ron Wood Center in Carson City

Less than a week to go until Christmas, Capitol Cab in Carson City finished collecting toys for its annual Toys For Tots campaign, which began on Black Friday this year and ended this morning, said campaign organizer and taxicab driver Mark Shepler.

Fleet Reserve Association - Celebrate Christmas and Donate to Toys for Tots

The Sierra-Tahoe Branch and Ladies Auxiliary Unit #137 of the Fleet Reserve Association held their Annual Christmas Party at Jethro’s Oven - Grill, Gardnerville. The food was plentiful and enjoyed by everyone, along with fabulous yummy desserts prepared by Brenda Horton, President of the Ladies Auxiliary. A big thank you to Larry Knack and Rick Athenour for arranging the event.

Wonderful raffle prizes were donated by local stores, including a $100 Walmart gift card. Thank you to Sue Higgins for securing the raffle prizes and displaying them so nicely.

Toys for Tots Drop Off at Carson City Farmers Insurance

If you would like to participate please drop off new, unwrapped toys through December 21st. We are located at 425 East Long Street (corner of Roop and Long). We are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Eyes on Carson City: Carson Victory Rollers

The Carson Victory Rollers, Carson City's hometown roller derby club, held its final scrimmage of the year Sunday in the Carson City Community Center gymnasium as a benefit fundraiser for the Toys For Tots Christmas campaign.

Toys For Tots celebrates successful 2015 campaign

Semper fidelis is more than just the motto of the United States Marine Corps (USMC). It is a phrase to live by. Every year since 1948, the USMC has faithfully delivered Christmas joy to millions of needy children around the country.
That faithfulness will stand to benefit around 3,000 children this year in Carson City, Douglas, Lyon and Storey counties.

Carson Victory Rollers Scrimmage to benefit Toys for Tots

The Carson Victory Rollers hold their annual Red vs. Green Scrimmage to benefit the Toys for Tots program this Sunday, Dec. 13 at 4:30 p.m. in the Carson City Community Center gymnasium.

Come out and watch both the Junior Victory Rollers and adult skaters battle it out. Admission is FREE when you donate a new, unwrapped toy, otherwise it's a $5 donation. All donations collected will be given to Toys for Tots.
