This week's Flatbed Concert Series bringing music to central Carson City, Mills Park area Saturday evening

This week's Flat Bed Concert Series will be going through the middle of Carson City, featuring Spike McGuire from Loud as Folk along with two other musicians. The concert will be held Saturday, July 25 beginning at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

The route will begin at the Tanglewood Apartments near the CHS tech center, drive through Mills Park and then wherever people are safely gathering.

A musical treat arrives at A To Zen in Carson City on Monday, June 10 with two solo sets of exceptional musicians: Brother Dan Palmer of Carson City and Kazoo Studios of Oakland, Calif.

Dan Palmer is best classified as an upbeat, observant singing songwriter specializing in Modern Americana music. Often compared to artists as diverse as John Mayer, Maroon 5, James Taylor, David Wilcox, Dan Fogelberg, Todd Snider, Dave Mason, and Harry Chapin.

Reno Jazz Orchestra brings blues, swing and soul to Reno, Lake Tahoe

Performing the best of Cole Porter to Stevie Wonder, the Reno Jazz Orchestra’s 17-piece jazz band will present “Music of the Masters” - a live performance of blues, swing, and soul with award winning vocalists Jamie Davis and Clairdee on Friday, September 2 at the Robert Z Hawkins Amphitheatre in Reno, NV, and Saturday, September 3rd, at Sand Harbor State Park on the edge of Lake Tahoe’s north shore.

Tickets for Music of the Masters can be purchased on line at RenoJazzOrchestra.org. These family-friendly two-hour concerts start at 7:30 p.m.
