CASI is hosting the ‘pooch plunge’ at the Carson Aquatic Center so that your pooches can beat this late September heat. Join the Nevada Humane Society at Lake Tahoe Brewing Company for the first annual ‘Brew-paw.’ Adoptable pets, a raffle, and more await. Don’t miss out on the downtown walk Sunday following coffee and mimosas at Adele’s. The ‘wag-n-walk’ will end up at the Visitor’s Center where you will be rewarded with a special pet tag.
Carson City Soroptimist Stroke to Help Golf Tournament September 26
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Tue, 09/15/2015 - 12:03pmSoroptimist International of Carson City is still signing up golfers for its 14th annual Stroke to Help golf tournament, coming up on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The tournament is a scramble format, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start, at Eagle Valley Golf. Players can choose to play on either the East Course for the fun, or the West Course for the challenge.

Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 08/18/2014 - 1:55pmSoroptimist International of Carson City with co-corporate sponsors Carson Tahoe Health and Tahoe Carson Radiology in association with the Capital Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Carson City Library Foundation present the 13th annual Stroke to Help Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 27.
The tournament is at Eagle Valley Golf Course and the format will be handicapped 4 player teams on the west course and 4 player scramble on the east course. There will be a continental breakfast ahead of the tournament, which begins at 8:30 a.m.
Soroptimist Stroke to Help needs golfers, sponsors, donations
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Fri, 09/07/2012 - 10:06pmSoroptimist International of Carson City seeks golfers, tee or green sponsors, and raffle prize donations for their 11th annual Stroke to Help Golf Tournament. The tournament is Saturday, September 29, at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Golfers may choose to play either the duffer-friendly East Course or the challenging links-style West Course. Play on both courses will be a 9 a.m. Shotgun start, with a Scramble format. Cost is $85 per player, and includes a Continental Breakfast, greens fee and cart, tee prizes, and a Barbecue lunch afterwards.
