Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 01/18/2021 - 12:14pmRENO, Nev. — With the Small Business Administration resuming their Paycheck Protection Program earlier this week, and other organizations such as Prestamos CDFI joining in to offer other forgivable loan programs, University of Nevada, Reno Extension will offer free online town halls with representatives from these organizations and other lenders, as well as Extension experts, explaining eligibility, the application process and other details on the assistance programs.

Discussion on the new stimulus package will include improvements to the Small Business Administration's Paycheck Protection Program, as well as emergency enhancements being made to related lending programs.

Nevada State Bank Secured Approval For 4200+ PPP Loans, Helping Northern Nevada Businesses And NonProfits

More than 68% of the loans were made to businesses with fewer than 10 employees and approximately 82% of the loans approved were for amounts less than $150,000 (57% for amounts less than $50,000). The funding will help preserve payrolls for 65,607 Nevada jobs, based on applicant data.
