The B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge in Carson City recognizes annually people who have excelled in volunteering their time to help make their respective communities a better place for all. This year the Carson City Elks Lodge has proudly recognized Carol Park as citizen of the year.

Well, so much for spring. Stay warm today as the wind whips into town. It’s National Library Week, and the Carson City Library isn’t shirking its duties with the Lego Club, Story time, and a sewing class in its Makerspace all happening today. They have also brought in renown speaker, author, and innovator Milton Chen to lead a panel discussion on education inside of the Brewery Arts Center’s Performance Hall.

Make your dream come to life. Bring sketches and fabric swatches if you have any. Together we will make that outstanding outfit come to life. For registration go to www.breweryarts.org.
Tuition: $100 ($90 BAC Members)

Learn to Sew with a Sewing Machine (ages 13-Adult):(6wks)

All materials are your responsibility, however for first class please bring to class a half yard printed cotton material, washed and dried and 2 yards white cord or color to match. If you do not have a machine contact Darla (dbayer@bactv.org or 830-7939). We have three available or she will give you recommendations if you plan to purchase one. For registration go to www.breweryarts.org.
