Carson City regional Scouts kick off 2013 food drive with Nov. 16 neighborhood collection
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 11/05/2013 - 1:57pmThe holiday season brings out plenty of good will, including food drives through the Pinenut District of the Nevada Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Beginning this weekend, an estimated 400 Scouters comprising Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, and adult leaders of the District will distribute 16,000 flyers announcing the food drive. The flyers will be distributed to area homes between Saturday, Nov. 9 and Wednesday Nov. 13.

DAYTON, NV – Pack 100 of Dayton Nevada collected several hundred pounds of food for the Dayton Food Pantry during their annual Scouting for Food event this week.
The boys of Pack 100 spent two weeks canvassing the Dayton and Mark Twain neighborhoods door to door seeking donations.
