Over the line: Carson City woman arrested for allegedly throwing rocks at protesters

There was a disturbance near the Legislature Building Saturday afternoon in Carson City. A woman who was apparently angry at some political signs, allegedly threw rocks at three demonstrators.

The news that came across the scanner this July 3 afternoon was that there was a fight involving "protesters" in front of the Legislative Building. Given the political climate these days, it was worth following up.

Pottery Place at The Children's Museum

Join in on the fun at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada beginning Saturday, July 3 and continuing Saturdays through summer with The Pottery Place.  There will be pottery painting for children, parents and walk-ins. Kids Run-4-Fun in Carson City

A free race for children will be on Saturday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to noon at Edmonds Sports Complex. Join the Tahoe Trail Blazers Outdoor Adventure Club for fun runs, obstacle courses, bounce house, pottery painting, food and drinks,and lots more fun for families in support of kids' health and fitness. There will be a half-mile and mile race. The Edmonds Sports Complex is located at 1555 Livermore Lane in Carson City.
