Come on down to the Carson Community Center on April 7 to watch a themed roller derby scrimmage suitable for all ages.

Come and support your local roller derby team, The Carson Victory Rollers as they host their biggest event of the year. The Battle for the Silver Skate will be held on Oct. 21-22 and will consist of six teams spread out from here and California battling it out to win it all.

The Carson Victory Rollers will be hosting a fundraiser scrimmage on September 10th to help cover costs for our upcoming tournament in October, the Battle for the Silver Skate.

Please join us at 2pm for LIVE, hard-hitting roller derby entertainment that’s fun for the whole family!

The Carson Victory Rollers roller derby team will be playing in an exhibition scrimmage of the World Skate rule set with Arizona Skate Club at the Carson Community Center at 5pm. After you enjoy your weekend at the Nevada State Fair, stop by the gym to watch some fast, hard hitting and edge of your seat derby. It’s entertainment that the whole family can enjoy so bring the kids!

The Carson Victory Rollers are taking Carson City to the national level of USARS Roller Derby! Help support your local athletes as we prepare for Nationals, we have hopes of bringing home a medal.

With 4 skaters having brought a bronze medal home with the Lockeford Liberators in 2021, now it’s time for Carson City to have our team make a name for themselves on the national stage in Lincoln, Nebraska July 6-8th 2023.

Come support your local roller derby league and check out this double header on Saturday, May 13. We’ll be skating at the Carson Community Center at 2pm. Doors open at 1pm so you can grab your seat before they fill up.

The event will start with a junior mixer scrimmage and will be followed by your very own Carson Victory Rollers vs. Faultline Derby Devilz.

Come help the Carson Victory Rollers fundraise to help get to the C-Squads Tournament in Angels Camp, Calif. We will be serving chili, cornbread, and chili dogs. $25 for a meal, one soft drink, and one raffle ticket.

$10 for kids 12 and under equals a meal and soft drink. Additional tickets may be purchased at the event as well. We’ll have lots of prizes to win and lots of junk to sort through. Find some treasures to take home, have some chili, and help your favorite local roller derby team achieve a goal they’ve been working so hard for!

We've got a double header on Saturday, June 18th! Double the derby, double the fun!

In the first bout, the Carson Victory Rollers will be playing against Flood Water Roller Derby from Sacramento. The second game will be the debut of our open gender/coed team Carson City Chaos vs. visiting skaters.

The Carson Victory Rollers face against the Outlaws from Auburn on April 30th at the Carson City Community Center. It's gonna be a rootin' tootin' good time so be sure to dress for the theme or wear your favorite CVR or Outlaws shirt. Feel free to make signs and cheer for your favorite skaters, but please no airhorns.

Come watch some roller derby for a good cause on Sunday, Feb. 20 at the Carson City Community Center! We’ll be accepting donations for Johnny Seaver of Hard Knox tattoos who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The funds will go to help Johnny and his family pay for medical care. Doors open at 4pm and the first whistle blows at 5pm!

It's been two long years since Carson City's local roller derby team has gotten to put on their game face and bout to their hearts content.

On Sunday, August 22, 2021, the Carson City Victory Rollers will hold our own Back to School Bash, Open Charity Scrimmage. This scrimmage is open to all skaters who have passed minimum skills testing. Please bring both black and white to play. The cost for guest skaters and spectators is $5.

Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space announced March 18 its update on office and staffing changes, facility closures and program cancelations and postponements due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The thaw continues around the capital city as we head into Tuesday with highs expected in the mid-50s. Events lined up feature morning and evening walks hosted by Muscle Powered, Carson City TRIAD will give a presentation at the senior center on scams targeting older adults. Also on tap, the Carson City Classic Cinema Club presents a Jimmy Stewart favorite "You Can't Take it With You" at the BAC; if you love music, there's Big-Band Jazz X2 at the Carson City Community Center, and you can join Carson Now as it celebrates its 10th anniversary at Living the Good Life.

Heading into Tuesday, activities and events lined up around the capital city include morning and evening walks hosted by Muscle Powered, a Relay for Life fundraiser at Firehouse Subs, a regular meeting of the Carson City School Board, the Nevada Artists Association Judged Winter Show at its Brewery Arts Center gallery, Carson Victory Rollers present a new skater program, plus classes at Yaple's Ballroom and more.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region over the next three days. Dozens of sweets are in store for Saturday. The American Association of University Women holds its 20th annual Feast of Chocolate at the Carson Plaza and Event Center. Artsy Fartsy Gallery hosts its 9th annual Jewelry and Chocolate Show with several new decorative pieces. To cap-off Saturday, the legendary Cab Calloway Orchestra makes its way to the capital city.

Carson's very own junior roller derby team has been invited to compete in Los Angeles, CA and it is a pretty big deal.

The Carson Junior Victory Rollers are headed to the Shamblock Shake tournament hosted by Los Anarchists roller derby team to compete on behalf of our great city. It was an honor for us to be invited and we hope we can make you all proud and come back with a win.

National Honor Society held its induction ceremony Sept. 23 in the CHS Big Gym featuring guest speaker Ryan Costella a 2000 CHS graduate. Costella was an active member of NHS, and this fact influenced his desire to attend college at Villanova University in Philadelphia, PA where he earned degrees in Political Science and English.

Rockabilly Riot was held from Thursday evening through Saturday, and included vintage cars, pin up girls, craft vendors, food, roller derby, music, and more!

Hot rods, rat rods, souped up trucks and the men and women who made them will be making their way into the capital city this week for the annual Rockabilly Riot which begins Thursday and runs through Saturday at Mills Park.

Dozens of hot rods will roll into Carson City next week for the 9th annual Rockabilly Riot held at Mills Park. The event originally got its start in Reno but will be hosted for the 4th time here in Carson City.

Good morning Carson City! It's finally starting to feel like Spring around here. The weather today is going to be another gorgeous day, sunny with highs of 56, a low of 28, and 52 percent humidity. On the schedule today we have a ton of wonderful events, from a live music benefit for the homeless, to pollinator workshops, a Roller Derby match, a Veteran's Remembrance Day celebration at Mills Park, and much more. Come watch a doubleheader March 30 as your local Carson Victory Rollers battle it out with the Lockeford Liberators and the Carson Junior Victory Rollers take on the Little Rascals. The event takes place at the Carson Community Center gym.

Carson City's hometown roller derby team, the Carson Victory Rollers, opened 2019 with their first bout held Saturday against the Nor Cal Roller Girls inside the Carson City Community Center gymnasium.

True to their name, the Victory Rollers cruised to a 154-66 win.

Saturday's event was a doubleheader. The first bout was a scrimmage for the Junior Victory Rollers.
