Rock Concert

Yeah, it’s hot out there, but it’s the area happenings that are sizzling. The Carson City Fair at Fuji Park offers a plethora of entertainment for all ages including tractor pulls, a carnival, and farm animals. Under the shade of the Mills Park cottonwoods, you’ll have all day to peruse the varied vehicles in the annual Run Whatcha Brung Car Show. The sun will come out tomorrow, but it’s the stars that are coming out tonight for the free Levitt Amp Concert at the Brewery Arts Center.

Bring a lawn chair, a picnic and enjoy an evening in the Silver City Park with a blues, funk and classic rock concert by Mylo McCormick on Sunday, July 29 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

With soggy weather here, some cancellations are inevitable. One thing you can count on, however, is the monthly Downtown Business Association’s wine walk; it’s a rain, shine, or blizzard event. Stay dry and well-fed with the Kiwanis annual BINGO Spaghetti Feed at the Carson Senior Center. Multi-talented music industry entrepreneur David Victor, formerly of the classic rock band BOSTON, returns to Northern Nevada on Saturday, March 17 to perform with his tribute act Bostyx.

The Boys Are Back In Town! Jeffrey James and the Wanted Gang will be at the "One-and-Only" Carson Station Hotel and Casino performing their Unique Style of "High Sierra Outlaw Rock Roll". Thats right. Jeffrey James and the Wanted Gang will have the Station rocking! Show dates Dec. 28-29 and Dec. 31, starting at 8:00 p.m.

"The Sitter," billed as a black comedy and currently flickering at the Fandango Galaxy cineplex in Carson City, is mercifully only 81 minutes long, but that's long enough to spell disaster to any discriminating movie goer.

It stars comic actor Jonah Hill as college failure Noah forced into baby sitting three of the most repellent child actors in living memory. He is also pursuing a blonde who is suggesting intimacy that night.
