Carson City Board of Supervisors to discuss election in special meeting held June 19

The Board is set to discuss and possibly act on the Canvass of the Vote for the June 9, 2020 Primary Election.
Lyon County Board of Commissioners unanimously agree to emergency declaration
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 03/16/2020 - 4:44pmThe Lyon County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a Declaration of Emergency through Resolution 20-05 and a meeting Monday afternoon, according to County Manager Jeff Page.
There was one person who poke against the resolution. Lyon County staff will now begin implementing procedures to address the declaration.
Public comment open for Carson City marijuana grow operation groundwater permit

The public comment period will end Nov. 18, 2019.

The announcement is the first step in a process to make the site eligible to receive federal funding for a long-term, permanent cleanup.

Douglas County, like other northern Nevada Counties has been hit with several daily rounds of heavy precipitation laden thunderstorms for over a week now.
U.S. Department Of Transportation Won’t Push To Regulate Farm Vehicles On Public Roadways
Submitted by Nevada News Bureau on Wed, 08/10/2011 - 11:27amCARSON CITY – A federal agency that sought comment on rules that would have applied commercial motor vehicle regulations to farm vehicles on public roadways has decided not to go forward with any changes, bringing a sigh of relief to Nevada farmers and ranchers.
The U.S. Department of Transportation said in a statement that it has determined “that most states have already adopted common sense enforcement practices that allow farmers to safely move equipment to and from their fields.”
