Carson City announces 'Green Dining Deals,' free stainless steel straws with GreenUP!

For one week, customers who check-in to the Green Dining District on social media will receive a free stainless steel straw kit with their order.

Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 09/06/2019 - 11:11amIn wake of the recent studies conducted by Desert Research Institute and UC Davis finding microplastics in Lake Tahoe, local 501(c)(3), "Clean up the Lake" in partnership with Tahoe Dive Center, have decided to speed up their announcement of their pre-existing plan to do a 72-mile underwater-scuba trash clean up of the entire shoreline of Lake Tahoe in Nevada and California.

Carson City artists win two divisions in Statewide Recycled Art Contest

First place in the adult division went to Bretta Leach, and third place in the K-5 Division went to Sean T., both of Carson City.
