November 28, 2022 - 1:00pm Truckee Meadows Community College political science professor Fred Lokken will be the featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon. Prof. Lokken will give his expert analysis of the recent midterm election and look ahead to the lame duck session of congress, the 2023 legislative session, and prospects for 2024, including the possibility of Nevada hosting the first in the nation presidential primary.

October 25, 2021 - 12:00pm Truckee Meadows Community College political science professor Fred Lokken will be the featured speaker at Monday's Democratic tele-luncheon. Prof. Lokken's presentation will include insights into the prospects for passage of physical and social infrastructure bills currently stalled in the US Senate, as well as the status of on-going attempts to entrench minority rule in state legislatures and the House of Representatives through district map gerrymandering and voter suppression laws.
