The Carson City School District would like to share special thanks to Dolan Auto Group for donating $5,000 to Fremont Elementary School’s Comprehensive Life Skills class. The money was awarded as part of a community benefit program the dealership hosts each year.

The University of Nevada, Reno welcomed 20,898 undergraduate and graduate students to campus for the fall 2015 semester, representing a 4.8 percent increase over the fall 2014 enrollment of 19,934 students.

Undergraduate student enrollment increased 5.9 percent this year, from 16,330 in fall 2014 to 17,295 in 2015. Graduate student enrollment increased 1 percent, from last year’s 2,820 students to 2,851 in 2015.

The University of Nevada, Reno welcomed 19,934 undergraduate and graduate students to campus this fall. This reflects a 6.2 percent increase over the fall 2013 enrollment of 18,776. These numbers reveal the second-largest enrollment jump for the University; the first took place in 2001 when enrollment grew by 1,167 students, which this year’s enrollment numbers narrowly missed by nine students.

Silver State Charter Schools will celebrate the relocation of the campus on Friday, July 27 at noon.
Dedication and ribbon cutting will be a part of this event, including an open house, tours and refreshments until 3 P.M.

On the eve of opening the 2011-12 academic year, Sierra Lutheran High School (SLHS) has announced a series of events that the school will be sharing with the community to commemorate the school’s tenth anniversary.

Sierra Lutheran, which is part of the 165-year old Lutheran education system in America, has launched a Celebration Series that will offer the SLHS community and the community at-large the opportunity to take part in celebratory, informational, and recreational activities over the coming school year.
