Nevada community coalitions

The Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties Thursday, August 9 breakfast meeting includes guest speakers on three important topics. The Coalition will also honor the AmeriCorps and VISTA members who have served the Lyon County region during the last year.

Healthy Communities Coalition’s Stand Tall youth leadership teams were one of just 9 groups across the U.S. awarded a Cardinal Health Foundation funded opportunity for training in peer to peer presentations and education about the harmful effects of prescription drug misuse and its tie to heroin abuse.
