Sierra Lutheran Hosts Grade School Night Basketball Games

Families will be admitted to all basketball games for FREE. There will be half-time games for the kids, and young basketball players are encouraged to attend the locker room “pre-game talks” with Varsity coaches.

Roy Sheldon Kidder: Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Coach

Roy was born in Tonopah Nevada on July 31, 1937 and died in Carson City Nevada on July 5, 2015.
He lived his first three months in Manhattan Nevada where his father worked on the dredge. They moved to Honey Lake for five months before moving to Hawthorne Nevada.
While growing up in Hawthorne, Roy excelled in sports. He played baseball, basketball, and ran track. He was also football manager, in Honor Society, Block H, and went to Boys State.

The primary objective of suppression efforts remains the protection of the community of Markleeville.
