The following people were arrested by Carson City Sheriff's deputies May 19:

—Sarah Elizabeth Crockett, 21, of Carson City, was arrested in the 3800 block of South Carson Street for felony grand larceny and gross misdemeanor possession of drugs without a prescription. The suspect had been detained by store security after allegedly emerging from a dressing room without the items she entered with. She was also allegedly found to be in possession of a bottle of pills including morphine for which she did not have a prescription. Bail was set at $5,000.

Two face criminal charges after Carson City car chase

Carson City authorities arrested a 22-year-old transient on Saturday after a car chase went through residential neighborhoods before ending up crashing into a concrete barrier.

Tyler S. Norman faces felony charges of eluding a police officer and vehicle grand theft. A passenger in the car, Michael Swerdling, 23, of Carson City faces a felony drug charge.

Carson City man arrested on kidnapping, sexual assault charges

An unemployed Carson City man wanted on felony sexual assault and kidnapping charges was arrested at a motel room in the 200 block of West Caroline on Tuesday morning.

Brandon Hicks, 18, is being held on $200,000 bail. A warrant for his arrest was issued on March 25 in Carson City Justice Court on the alleged felony crimes of first degree kidnapping, battery with intent to commit sexual assault committed by strangulation and sexual assault.

California man arrested for impersonating a game warden

A 28-year-old man has been arrested for impersonating a California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) warden in Tulare County.

Joshua Adam O’Daniel, a Terra Bella resident, was sought by law enforcement for allegedly claiming to be a game warden making a field contact with a mother and daughter.

On Dec. 30, 2010, the mother and daughter were parked along Blueridge Road in rural Tulare County when O’Daniel stopped his pickup nearby and approached them.

Pair arrested on felony drug charges

A Carson City woman faces felony drug charges after allegedly hiding methamphetamine inside her rectum.

Samantha Nelson, 19, was arrested after being stopped on Saturday at Fourth and Carson streets. A passenger in the vehicle, Ryan Musto, 22, was also arrested and faces a felony drug charge as well as providing false identification to authorities. Bail was set at $20,000.

—Christopher Glen Hammond, 35, was arrested Saturday evening in the 1900 block of Long Street for misdemeanor DUI, failure to maintain lane, open container and gross misdemeanor child endangerment.

A Reno man who had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest on an assault charge was found at a Carson City casino with methamphetamine in his possession, authorities said.

Carson City woman being held on felony theft and burglary charges

A Carson City woman was arrested Thursday and faces felony theft and burglary charges after a warrant had been issued.

Jeira Polanco, 23, was placed into custody at around 12:30 p.m. at a home in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road. Her bail was set at $25,000.
According to the arrest warrant, Polanco faces felony charges of property theft valued at more than $2,500, use of false pretenses to obtain money goods and services of more than $250; fraudulent use of a credit card, and burglary. She also faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear.

A Carson City man faces multiple charges including felony drug possession and misdemeanor suspicion of driving under the influence, after being arrested late Thursday night during a traffic stop.

Isiah Treur, 32, was stopped at Fairview and the bypass at around 11:20 after officers observed him speeding and drifting across the fog line and failing to maintain his lane of traffic, according to the arrest report.

A Carson City woman faces multiple charges including child neglect and possession of methamphetamine after officers learned drug dealing was being done out of the garage of her Robinson Street home.

Deborah Ellen Duffy, 24, was arrested Thursday in the 1100 block of East Robinson Street after the Special Enforcement Team of the Carson City Sheriff's Office received information that meth dealing was being done in the garage of the home.

Erratic driving leads to traffic stop, arrest for resisting officer

A 27-year-old Douglas County man faces multiple misdemeanor charges after being stopped in Carson City for reckless driving and then using the opportunity to confront an officer with a stream of obscenities.

According to the arrest report, the man was stopped at around 10 p.m. Monday after driving his 1999 Buick Century erratically, weaving in and out of traffic and following too close to another vehicle. He was paced doing around 40 mph in a 25 mph zone.

The woman, Leza L. Bulman, was arrested Wednesday at her home in the 200 block of Corbett. She faces a warrant charge of exploiting an elderly person and embezzlement of a person over the age of 60. Both are felonies. Bail was set at $3,000.

Carson City jail prisoner busted for drug possession

A prisoner in the Carson City Jail was arrested Sunday for allegedly being in possession of heroin, methamphetamine and prescription drugs.

According to the arrest report, jail staff received a tip that Audrey Cherie Peebles had heroin and had used it earlier that afternoon. Staff then did a shakedown of all the prisoners in that unit, and found Peebles to be in possession of a ziplock bag with what appeared to be three full and two used balloons of heroin, a small amount of methamphetamine and two pills of suboxone.

Man faces DUI charge after backing into patrol vehicle

A Carson City man who told officers he drank three 24-ounce cans of beer faces a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence after he pulled his car into a driveway and then backed into a patrol car.

According to the arrest report, officers spotted the man early Monday afternoon driving his vehicle about 10 miles over the 25 mph posted speed limit south on Northgate Lane. The arresting officer attempted to pull the man over, but he kept driving until he got to Dyer Court where he pulled into a driveway.

Carson City authorities make meth-related arrests

Carson City authorities made three separate methamphetamine-related arrests earlier this week.

A 57-year-old South Lake Tahoe man faces a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine after being stopped on Wednesday at the corner of Carson Street and Hot Springs Road.

Officers spotted a Ford Ranger not driving in the travel lane and not having a red tail light. The driver, identified as Frederick Allan Russo, was stopped. Officers detected a smell of marijuana from his car and officers asked permission to search the vehicle and Russo agreed, according to the arrest report.

Carson City man faces meth trafficking and other charges after NHP stop

A Carson City man faces several felony charges including methamphetamine trafficking after being stopped by the Nevada Highway Patrol on Sunday.

Clint G. Malone, 27, is being held at the Washoe County Jail and faces charges of meth trafficking, driving under the influence, speeding, driving on a suspended driver's license and two misdemeanor traffic-related failure to appear warrants. The bail amount was set at $22,054.

Tahoe authorities make significant meth bust at Stateline

One man has been arrested and around two pounds of methamphetamine was seized on Thursday in Stateline on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, Douglas County Sheriff's Office officials report.

A multi-agency drug trafficking investigation culminated in the arrest of 45-year old Francisco Sandoval-Estrada, after a drug sting operation.

Investigators from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team (DCSET), Western El Dorado Narcotic Enforcement Team (WENET) and the All Threats/All Crimes Unit (ATAC) from Reno conducted the investigation.

Carson City police arrest Dayton man on weapon, drug charges

A Dayton man faces multiple drug charges and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

Ian Miles Lister, 33, was arrested in the 400 block of Saliman Road in Carson City at around 5:30 this morning after an officer spotted his vehicle committing several traffic violations.

Lister provided his license to the officer but was unable to provide proof of insurance or his vehicle registration. Dispatch informed the officer that his license had been revoked, according to the arrest report.

Carson City authorities make felony drug-related arrests

Carson City authorities made two felony arrests since Friday including a woman wanted on a violation of a bail condition, and, in a separate case, a man who admitted to using a credit card that didn't belong to him to buy merchandise as trade to fuel his habit.

Authorities on Friday arrested Laurie Ann Hancock, 43, of Carson City who had been on the run from the police after skipping out on a September hearing in Carson City Justice Court. The woman is suspected of stealing money from her former employer and was supposed to be in court on felony charges.

10 arrested in major Northern Nevada drug bust

A major drug operation east of Carson City was brought down late Tuesday with 10 arrests, two being juveniles, the Nevada Department of Public Safety reports.

The bust happened at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and involved multiple law enforcement agencies that resulted in the execution of four search warrants and 10 arrests and the confiscation of 1502 grams of drugs, including more than three pounds of methamphetamine.

Safety urged for hunters as marijuana grows increasingly found on Nevada public lands

After a summer that netted 15,000 marijuana plants on public lands that extended over four Nevada counties, the state's Department of Public Safety urges caution as hunters head for the woods and secluded places this fall.

Marijuana grows and other illegal enterprises are being encountered on public lands with increasing frequency, according to the department.

Carson City authorities arrest two in stabbing incident

A woman faces felony charges after allegedly twice stabbing another woman in a Carson City fight.

Lynsey Kieffer, 21, was arrested Monday at 1 p.m. for felony battery with a deadly weapon, felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

She is accused of stabbing another woman in the arm and back outside a downtown Carson City casino. Security cameras captured the scuffle between the two women, and showed the victim walking back to the casino covered in blood.

Thomas William Hinsen, 51, was arrested Thursday. He faces a felony charge of maintaining a home that is known for drug activity next to a school, possession of a prescription drug without a script, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $23,632 bail.
