My Thousand Words teaches Book Art Jewelry

Come and learn how to make book art jewelry from the artists of My Thousand Words, Rachael and Debbie Lambin. There are two classes offered, pick which one you like. Hope to see you!

The events are Friday, July 26 from 6:30 to 830 p.m. and Saturday, July 27, 2-4pm at Western Nevada College.

Students will be learning to make jewelry from books and magazines and enjoying wearing beautiful recycled jewelry that doesn't look like it is recycled at all.

Jewelry: Wire Wrapping IV – The Ring

This is a favorite beginner/intermediate class. In just two hours, you will make TWO fabulous rings using wire and beads! These rings are simple and surprisingly durable. Jewelry: Wire Wrapping III – Creating a Totem

This is another great class for beginner and intermediate aspiring jewelry “artists!” In this two-hour class, we will be creating a personal totem that can be worn as jewelry art or hung from a window or mirror. A totem is an object that signifies the qualities of it owner, making a statement through color, shape and feeling. Jewelry: Wire Wrapping I & II Power Class

This is a great class for beginner and intermediate aspiring jewelry “artists”! In this two part class, we will be learning the simple loop, the wrapped loop and wrapped loop clasps. Using these three techniques, we will be creating a charm-style bracelet or anklet that you will love showing off to your friends. ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
