We are also reporting 277 new cases and 70 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 7,986, with 3,548 recoveries and 81 deaths; 4,357 cases remain active.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020 that there are 168 new cases and 39 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 7,709, with 3,478 recoveries and 79 deaths; 4,152 cases remain active.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office Reserve, which has hosted an annual Christmas Eve program for decades with pre-arranged visits by Santa and elves to local homes, has been canceled and replaced instead with a virtual message greeting for families. The reason for the change this year is due to COVID-19 concerns.

The individual was a male Douglas County resident in his 80’s. CCHHS is also reporting 402 new cases and 6 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 that there are two additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. The individuals were a male Carson City resident in his 90s and a male Lyon County resident in his 70s.

We are also reporting 124 new cases and 3 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 that there has been a significant increase in positive cases over the last week. Since Nov. 16, 2020, CCHHS has received over 1,000 positive results for the Quad-County region. Due to the high volume of cases, not all positive cases have been contacted. CCHHS is working to investigate the cases and reduce the back log in positive results.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020. The individual was a Carson City resident. CCHHS is also reporting 35 new cases and 36 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 2,993, with 2,219 recoveries and 33 deaths; 741 cases remain active.

A hotline for Toys for Tots will soon be available for Carson City, Douglas, Storey and West Lyon County families in need of toys for the holidays.

MINDEN, Nev. — The Nevada COVID Task Force notified Douglas County that they are flagged for elevated COVID-19 disease transmission. Douglas County saw a spike in infection rates back in July, but then numbers declined for several months.
