High Desert Horsemen 'Trail Trial' set for Sept. 14

September 14, 2013 - 8:30am High Desert Horsemen, a local horse club that was established in 2005, will be holding its annual Trail Trial at Fort Churchill Boy Scout Camp, Weeks, NV on Saturday, September 14, 2013. The club donates a good portion of the proceeds back to the community. Last year's recipients were: Dayton Food Bank, Kids N Horses, Dog Town Canine Rescue, and Feeding Pets of the Homeless.
Low-Cost Gelding Clinic Set for NV Horse Owners

November 24, 2012 (All day) A low cost gelding clinic will be held at Snow Livestock & Grain in Fallon, NV on Saturday, Nov 24th and Sunday Nov 25th. Private horse owners in need of this service are invited to participate in this event that is co-hosted by National Equine Resource Network (NERN) and R-VETS.
High Desert Horsemen 4th Annual Trail Trial

September 10, 2011 (All day) High Desert Horsemen will be conducting their 4th annual trail trial. This is a fun event that gives horses and riders a challenge. They must complete 10 obstacles over a course set up at Fort Churchill State Park (Scout Camp). They may also purchase poker hands and have a chance at winning both simultaneously. The winners of each category (Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced) will win a beautiful engraved belt buckle. Prizes are awarded 1st to 6th place. After the competition all participants are invited to a great lunch and the awards ceremony.
