October 8, 2020 - 9:00am Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey hosts it’s monthly meeting virtually via Zoom this Thursday October 8 from 9am-11am. Speakers will address three topics during this month’s meeting.

Students at Western Nevada College were captivated by a very special visitor on Wednesday morning on its Carson City campus. None other than Steve Sisolak, the 30th governor of Nevada, spent part of his busy morning passionately telling students about the respect he has for them and the sacrifices they are making to attend college.
Carson City organizations among 27 Nevada Humanities 2018-2019 grant recipients

Nevada Humanities is pleased to announce that 27 grants totaling over $104,500 were awarded to fund humanities programs across Nevada, including four in Carson City area.
Nevada 150 Sesquicentennial events lined up through September

The deadline to submit applications for Official and Signature Nevada 150 events will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12. Over 400 events have been held across the Silver State since Nevada Day 2013, in celebration of Nevada’s Sesquicentennial, with many more ahead. To submit an event application please visit www.Nevada150.org.
