Good morning Carson City, today is Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018. Ahead today is a morning coffee networking event, a craft fair in its 18th year at the Carson Valley Inn, a haunted hayride in Dayton, family night at RSVP's Nevada Day Carnival held through Sunday at Mills Park, a lecture on Nevada names and much more.
Thursday, Oct. 26: Things to do in Carson City and beyond

Head down to Old Town Dayton for their annual Haunted Hayrides into History. You’ll find games, refreshments, Ghostly Pioneers, and it’s the perfect place for your costume. The Boys and Girls Club invites you to their ‘Lights on Afterschool’ event with an ice cream social, face painting, games, bounce house, S.T.E.M. labs and more. A Dodgeball battle at the Multi-Purpose Athletic Center raises money for Domestic Abuse Awareness.

The Carson Tahoe Spooktacular is an annual favorite for the kids, complete with treats, activities, and helicopers. It’s Family Night at the RSVP Nevada Day Carnival: thanks to Carson City Toyota-Scion, all rides are just $1. Dayton offers a Haunted Hayride through their old town history. Costumes are encouraged for this family fun event. Root beer floats await at the grand opening celebration of the newly renovated FISH.

Combined with the festivities of Nevada Day, you can be sure to enjoy at least a week’s worth of celebrating.

Haunted Hayride Celebrates Dayton History
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Thu, 10/13/2016 - 5:17pmOn Thursday, October 27 bring your family and friends to the annual Haunted Hayride of the Historical Society of Dayton Valley. This free event is our "give-back" to the community and celebrates Dayton history in a fun, family-friendly evening. Continuous old-fashioned hayrides will circle through an Old Town Dayton filled with ghosts of the past, all of whom share a lighthearted attitude toward their history. The evening starts at the museum, where there will also be games for the kids and light refreshments. Costumes are encouraged and kids from 0 to 102 are invited!

The annual Spooktacular Stroll is a fun time not to be missed. Take a ride on the Ferris Wheel or win your sweetheart a prize at the RSVP Carnival that opens today at Mills Park. It’s Family Night, so all rides are only one dollar. Enjoy dancing with DJ Bobby G at Living the Good Life or learn to salsa dance at El Charro’s. Celebrate your October birthday at Carson Cigar Co. with music by the Trippin King Snakes.

Downtown Dayton's Haunted Hayride into Nevada History

Light refreshments served, visit the museum, play kids games. This is a free family friendly night. The hayride loads at the Dayton Museum at Shady Lane at Logan Alley. The event and rides are Thursday, Oct. 29 from 5PM to 8PM. Come take a ride into the past.
