Heading into the final weekend of October, Halloween and Nevada Day events will keep revelers busy through Sunday making for a jam packed weekend of fun for families and grownups around the Carson City region.

Halloween will be celebrated this week at one of the most haunted destinations in the country, Virginia City, where the Wild West and ghosts of the past are part of the Comstock's legendary folklore.

Heading into the last day of October and you know what that means: Happy Halloween! Best to bundle up under the costumes as Thursday will be another chilly day, though warmer than Wednesday. Nevada Governor Sandoval to Host Halloween Festivities at the Haunted Mansion

Gov. Brian Sandoval will host Nevada’s annual Halloween tradition of trick or treating at the Governor’s Mansion tonight, Oct. 31st beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Governor will distribute Halloween treats and this year he will participate in the Teal Pumpkin Initiative, which provides non-food items for children with food allergies.

BOO-NANAZA 2017

Carson City Library, Carson City Parks and Recreation Department, and Southwest Gas are teaming up to host a BOO-NANZA with trick or treating, STEAM activities, a costume contest, spooky decorations, and a movie!

This event will be held on Wednesday, October 25 from 4-6 PM at the Community Center, Library, and Aquatic Facility. BOO-NANZA is a free, safe, and spooky environment for children to participate in Halloween fun. The first 100 participants will receive a bag to use for trick or treating.

Good Luck Macbeth and Vaude Villain Entertainment in Reno are teaming up again to bring you another Halloween extravaganza.
CLOWN BAR by Adam Szymkowicz is a film noir inspired production following a former clown named Happy who has returned to the seedy underground crime world to find his brother’s killer.

Show is directed by: Ashley Marie James. All performances are 7:30pm. The theater is located at
713 S. Virginia St., Reno, NV.

Halloween activities at Carson Mall, Governor's Mansion

Along with neighborhood trick or treating, a handful of Halloween events are lined up for Wednesday including A Halloween Festival planned at Carson Mall. Costumed kids, face painting, games, prizes, snacks and more are featured from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Parents and children can then move on to the Governor's Mansion for an annual Halloween meet and greet, trick or treat.
