LAKE TAHOE — Rap legends Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube will be in the house at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa, Saturday, July 17, making for a dynamic celebrity-filled week at Lake Tahoe, with the apex of the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament.

LAKE TAHOE — The American Century Championship, the celebrity golf tournament at Lake Tahoe celebrates its 21 birthday, July 13-18. Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Tony Romo, Bode Miller, Troy Aikman, Jerry Rice, Don Cheadle, Mario Lemieux, Taylor Hicks are among the 80 sports and entertainment stars and Hall of Famers competing in the 54-hole, $600,000 tournament on NBC Sports.
 

McCulloch 10th, Gingell finishes strong at regional golf tournament

Despite coming up just short in their quest to extend the season one more week, Carson High's Colin McCulloch and Garrett Gingell still managed to finish strong at the Northern 4A Regional Boys Golf Tournament on Tuesday afternoon at Empire Ranch Golf Course.
In the process, they gained some valuable experience for the future.

After watching rain turn to snow through the afternoon, Colin McCulloch couldn't have been happier when opening round play in the Northern 4A Regional Boys Golf Tournament was finally suspended on Monday afternoon at Empire Ranch Golf Course.
"I'm so cold right now," the Carson High sophomore said afterward, glancing out on a course where snow was starting to stick. "It was pretty tough. Starting on 15, I could barely grip the club."

Regional golf tournament set for Empire Ranch

The NIAA Class 4A Northern Region Boys Golf Championship tournament is scheduled to be played on Monday and Tuesday over the Sierra/Blue and River/White nine-hole sides at Empire Ranch Golf Course in Carson City.

J.T. Cockerill shines for Cal State Stanislaus at CCAA golf final

J.T. Cockerill of Carson City wound up tied for second-place as he helped California State University-Satnislaus to second-place as a team at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Golf Tournament on Monday and Tuesday in Paso Robles, Calif.
Cockerill, a junior, finished at 4-under par 212 (68-71-73) during the tournament held at Hunter Ranch Golf Course. He tied teammate Teddy Schrier for second-place on the individual leader board.
