October 13, 2016 (All day) Enjoy an enchanted evening benefiting the National Alliance of Mental Health - Western NV. Second Annual Masquerade Gala Fundraising Event at the Governor's Mansion Thursday, Oct. 13. Reception and silent auction begin at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m.
Enjoy a performance by country singer/song writer Jason De Shaw, in addition to entertainment featuring Le Cirque Vagabond and Hick'ry Switch.

Masquerade Gala to Create Support for Mental Illness Recovery

October 9, 2015 - 6:00pm Mental illness has long had shame and stigma attached to it, yet in any given year 1 in 25 adults in the United States experience a serious mental illness according to the National Institute of Mental Health. A local nonprofit offering education, advocacy and support to individuals suffering from mental illness and their families, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Western Nevada invites the public to help dissolve this stigma by attending "Unmasked: A Masquerade Soiree to Support Mental Illness Recovery."
The October 8 dinner gala at Thunder Canyon Golf Club will feature retired professional hockey goalie and author Clint Malarchuk as the keynote speaker.
