New York New Year's Eve Party celebration to benefit Friends of the Carson City Library

The event, which helps raise funds for the Carson City Library, will be held from 6 to 10 pm in the Carson Nugget Ballroom.
Tickets are $50 each, or $375 for a table for eight, and include a buffet dinner, no-host bar, dancing, and live and silent auctions. Guest will also enjoy a balloon drop, live streaming of the Times Square ball drop and a champagne toast at 9 pm.

Friends of the Carson City Library holiday handmade creations sale begins Thursday

There'll be plenty of unique creations, handmade accessories, stocking stuffers and ideal gifts for the holiday season, plus raffle prizes too.

All adult hardcover books will be 50 cents each and paperbacks will be 25 cents. The sale will be at the Carson City Library, 900 N. Roop Street, today, Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Carson City Libary Celebrates National Library Week with impressive lineup

Special events kick off Monday, 6 p.m., at the library auditorium with “The Lure of Music, a Human Universal” presented by internationally-recognized music scholar Fredric Lieberman, Ph.D., a distinguished professor of music at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Doors open at 7 p.m. with the performance at 7:30 p.m. at the Theater, located in the Carson City Community Center. Reserved seats are $45 and general admission $35. Spring Savings Book Sale

The sale will be Friday, March 15th and Saturday, March 16th from 10 am to 4 pm. New Book Sale Location for Carson City Friends of the Library

There is lots of parking off of Hot Springs both in front of the building and behind it. Having a "permanent" space for our sales means that we will be having a sale very month.
The hours for our first sale in February are:
— Thursday, Feb. 14th - 3 pm to 6 pm - preview for members only
— Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15 & 16 - 10 am to 4 pm for everybody

Paula Poundstone to perform in Carson City to raise money for the Library

The CCFL invited Poundstone to Carson City to celebrate National Friends of the Library Week and to help raise money for the Library.
The performance will take place on Friday, October 26 at the Bob Boldrick Theater (Community Center), located at 851 East William Street in Carson City. The doors open at 7 PM.

Harvest Book Sale

All books for sale are newly donated. We have a large assortment of fiction and nonfiction, adult and children's books, hardcovers and paperbacks. There will be a preview sale for members of the Friends on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Nonmmembers can join at the door. All proceeds benefit the Carson City Library. The Sale will be held at the Carson City Library, 900 N. Roop Street. All hardcover books will be priced at $1.00, paperbacks at 2 for $1.00 and children's books at 4 for $1.00. Also for sale will be videos and records at 10 for $1.00. There will be a preview sale Thursday, August 9th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. for members of the Friends of the Library.
