Kids and volunteers work their clay magic at Project Carson City Empty Bowls event
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 06/08/2015 - 2:32pmThe Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, Project Empty Bowls Carson City and Deloitte Consulting partnered Friday for a pottery event that brought dozens of children who created and crafted more than 150 clay mugs and bowls.
Deloitte Consulting provided 10 volunteers for the event and has donated 600 pounds of clay that will be used for bowl making projects throughout the year. Friday's event brought nearly 100 children, plus their parents, grandparents and family members.

Project Empty Bowls will be working with all ages making bowls from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Dec. 5 Empty Bowl's soup feed fundraiser at the Carson City Silver & Snowflakes Festival of Lights.
No experience necessary. Come create a bowl to donate and help the Empty Bowls Carson City Project to feed the hungry in our valley.
