2019 Carson City Fair and Demolition Derby aftermath brings donations

The Fair’s claim to fame is a focus on local youth livestock shows and traditional exhibits. This year, most people didn’t miss the carnival, due to the free games provided on the grassy area.

You can always head out hiking or spend the day at the pool, but the Carson City Fair is just here until Sunday. Farm animals, great exhibits, live entertainment, a carnival, and a bull-riding rodeo can be found at Fuji Park. Park your car at the Super Walmart on Topsy and you’ll be treated to a free shuttle. Go a little bit country at the Brewery Arts Center tonight; they are bringing back the Southern Drawl Band to the Minnesota Street Stage for this week’s free concert.

The Bulls, Broncs, and Barrels Rodeo takes over the Fuji Park Arena. You’ll find another free outdoor concert in McFadden Plaza this evening featuring Road Daddy, food and fun. Youth Theater Carson City debuts its newest production, Into the Woods, Jr., at the Community Center and is a great option for a special kids’ night out. Keep reading, and you’ll find all that the area has to offer for a great time.

Carson City Evening Ghost Walks in July 2016

The Carson City Ghost Walks evening walking tours are a delightfully spooky and enjoyable way to experience Carson City’s Victorian Era and diverse history. Tours are this Saturday, July 9 and again on Saturday, July 23.

Nevada Fair Tickets on sale at the Carson City Visitors Bureau

The pre-sale tickets are redeemed at the carnival for a wristband that allows you to ride all day on the day you choose to use it. Wristbands purchased at the fair are also $20. Pre-sale ticket sales will end Thursday.
Limited pre-paid parking pass to Nevada Fair in Carson City on sale Tuesday
Submitted by editor on Mon, 07/06/2015 - 2:29pmThe Nevada Fair will have a limited number of prepaid parking passes. There are only 100 passes available. Prepaid reserved parking passes go on sale Tuesday, July 7. They are $20 for one vehicle for all 4 days of the fair.
There is a limited number of 100 passes available, on a first come first serve basis. They are available at the Carson City Treasurer's Office located in City Hall at 201 N. Carson Street.

Supervisors to consider Carson City Center Project next week
Submitted by editor on Thu, 02/10/2011 - 10:06pmCarson City leaders will learn next week whether the proposed Carson City Center, also known as the Nugget Project, is financially viable and may vote on whether to move forward with development agreements.
Thursday's meeting of the Board of Supervisors is a culmination of many months of studies, public meetings, workshops and a citizen's advisory committee. Supervisors will hear the results and recommendations of the project at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17 in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center, 851 East William Street.
