Emerge Nevada

The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Annette Magnus, outgoing Executive Director of Battle Born Progress and the Institute for a Progressive Nevada. For many years she has been as familiar a face around the halls of the legislature and as she has been on TV panel shows hosted by the likes of Sam Shad and Jon Ralston. At the luncheon she will provide an update on the status of bills being promoted or opposed by BBP during the 82nd legislative session.

The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Elizabeth Mercedes Krause, Democratic candidate for Nevada District 2 of the US House of Representatives. In the June 14 Democratic primary, Mercedes came in first with 47% of the vote out of a field of seven candidate. In the November 8 four-way general election, she will face off against Republican incumbent Mark Amodei as well as Independent American Russell Best and Libertarian Darryl Baber. Early voting begins on Saturday, October 22nd.

The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Shannon McDaniel, a licensed professional engineer and water rights surveyor who is currently the Democratic candidate for Nevada State Assembly, District 40. In the November 8th general election she will be facing off against incumbent GOP Assemblyman P.K. O'Neill.

Speaking at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Aaron Sims, the Democratic candidate for Nevada State Senate District 16, and Shannon McDaniel, the Democratic candidate for Nevada State Assembly, District 40. In the November 8th general election, they will face off against Republican Senate candidate Lisa Krasner and incumbent GOP Assemblyman P.K. O'Neill.

Having no primary opposition on the Democatic side, she will advance to the November 8th general election, where she will face off against the winner of the Republican primary between incumbent P.K. Ellen Spiegel, primary candidate for Nevada Secretary of State, will be the featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon. Ellen served five terms in the Nevada Assembly, representing Districts 20 and 21, where she became known as a staunch advocate for working families, women’s health care, the environment and LGBTQ rights. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Economics from Cornell University. Her professional experience includes working as a business owner and consultant, becoming an e-commerce pioneer.

Featured speaker at Monday's Democratic tele-luncheon will be Annette Magnus, Executive Director of the progressive advocacy group Battle Born Progress. Her presentation will address the opportunities being realized by receipt of $2.7 billion in pandemic relief funds, as well as programs put at risk by the court-ordered rebate of $105 million in taxes levied over the 2019-2021 biennium.
