Shanell Cavener is this year’s Carson High School Teacher of the Year, and she could not be more deserving of the honor. Shanell is quiet, often working behind the scenes in ways people would not even realize in order to benefit the lives of all who enter CHS.

Before jumping into teaching, Quinn-Davis worked many years at The Nevada Appeal as city government reporter, columnist, and city editor. She was also editor of The Nevada Appeal and previously was editor of The Daily Democrat newspaper in Woodland, Calif.

His name is Gavin Ward, and he is doing a fantastic job as the Principal of CHS, being both available and supportive while encouraging teachers, students, and even parents to engage their students with much-needed health, hope and heterochromatic learning.
