Gusty conditions prompt high wind warning for Carson City, Lake Tahoe areas beginning Friday

The weather system will also bring periods of mountain snow and mainly light valley rain, according to the National Weather Service.

On Twitter, DCSO said they do not believe there is a threat to the public but they are asking people to please, avoid the area.
Carson City Health and Human Services announces possible first reinfection of COVID-19

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines a reinfection as someone who was infected once, recovered, and then become infected again 90 or more days after the first positive result.

Carson City area 2020 General Election results
Submitted by editor on Tue, 11/03/2020 - 8:05pmPolls for Tuesday's Carson City General Election remained open after 7 p.m. due to a large, last minute crush of voters at the community center. Carson Now will post the results as they become available via the Carson City Clerk-Recorder's Office.
The Elections Department is reporting that 72 percent of registered voters in Carson City cast their ballots in the capital city, a significant increase from previous elections.
