Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting an additional death to due COVID-19, nine new cases, and eight additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region.

Carson City firefighters respond to house fire; woman sets chair, floor on fire while allegedly trespassing

A possible structure fire was reported Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the 2200 block of Poole Way near Carmine and Sherman.

According to dispatch, a woman lit a chair on fire inside of a residence, which then lit the floor on fire. Dispatch advised that an oxygen tank was present.
