At the November 4, 2020 meeting of the Nevada Commission on Tourism, the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center was awarded $14,150 as part of the COVID-19 Rural Recovery Grant Program to print 40,000 Dayton and Mound House map and brochures.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region. The American Cancer Society is hosting a poker run Saturday at Mills Park, and a free lacrosse clinic for kids ages 6-12 will be held at John L. Harvey Field. The Nevada Humane Society is virtually hosting its annual “Adopt a Duck” fundraiser for interested participants. We're putting Dayton and Mound House on the map. The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center is working with Charter Advertising/Design, Inc. in producing a newly designed city map that features business locations in Dayton and Mound House. Chamber members, who purchase ads, will have their locations "pinned" for extra notice!

President John Cassinelli has announced that Travel Nevada and the Nevada Commission on Tourism have awarded the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center a $3,500 rural tourism marketing grant.

The money will be used to develop a completely re-branded website which will be revealed the first week of October 2019.
