Citizenship preparation classes begin July 14 in Carson City
Submitted by editor on Wed, 06/27/2018 - 11:41amOur citizenship class provides the civics knowledge and English language skills needed to pass the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) naturalization interview.
Citizenship preparation classes are sponsored by the ESL In-Home Program of Northern Nevada. These classes are available at all proficiency levels and at no cost to the student.

An aviation air show at the Minden Airport, the coin show and fair at the Nevada State Museum, and a fishing derby for the kids at Little Washoe Lake are only the tip of the iceberg. The Pavilion at Mills Park is where you’ll find the annual Carson High Football Boosters Fundraising BBQ. The Quicksilver Dog Agility Trials are always fun to watch, and they’ll be at Fuji Park all weekend. Carson Lanes has family fun indoors and out all day long during their Bowling Blast-off.

There is a long waiting list of people waiting for a Citizenship Class. United Latino Community has easy to follow teaching materials and will provide training and assistance. You are needed! The workshop is from 10:00 until 10:30 on Saturday, August 22, at United Latino Community, 1711 N. Roop St.(corner of Roop and Beverly). Help someone become a citizen of the United States! Commitment is two hours each week for three months at your convenience.
