April 11, 2019 - 5:30pm Are you working with children in the Carson City and Douglas County areas? If so, join us. The Carson Douglas Early Childhood Advisory Council invites you to our first Early Childhood Mixer.
— Attend a training to learn more about local resources for children & families in our area.
— Receive an hour of training from the Nevada Registry.
— Meet other Early Childhood Professionals in our area.
— Enjoy light refreshments and a raffle!
When: Thursday April 11, 2019. Mingle 5:30 to 6 p.m. Training is from 6 to 7 p.m.
Politicians have made childcare unaffordable

May 10, 2017 - 8:15am Among the great social changes that drove economic growth in the latter half of the 20th Century was the large-scale entry of women into the labor force. With more Americans working, family lifestyles changed rapidly.
But this growth of the female labor force required families to find ways to care for their children while both parents were at work. Although some parents could rely on grandparents or others to watch their kids, that option was unavailable to many.
