Health care specialists to shed light on Affordable Care Act for Carson City employers

The “Look into Your Future” luncheon on Dec. 4 will feature guest speaker Russ Sullivan, attorney and vice president of Health Care Solutions for the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, who will present an interactive session that draws upon lessons from Massachusetts’ seven-year health care reform experience. Sullivan will provide insight into how to prepare for the changes ahead.

Artistically INKlined 3: The Skull, will showcase the oil paintings, water color, air brush, and mixed media from 6 local shops and over 11 artists with special guest sculptor. Art INK 3 is from 1pm – 9 pm, during the October Downtown Wine Walk. The show is FREE to attend but is a fundraising event for the Brewery Arts Center’s Youth Art Programs.

The event was filled with great music, lights and amazing eye-candy.

Carson St, Carson City, on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, 2013. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Carson City Community Shred Day set for Friday

One hundred percent of the money raised from the event will go directly to the Special Olympics of Nevada.

Nevada Gaming Control Board hits AA Gaming with fine, loss of license
Submitted by admin on Mon, 03/26/2012 - 2:59pmAA Gaming Inc., and its owner Alan Adams, negotiated a settlement in February with the Nevada Gaming Control Board that will result in a $2,000 fine and the loss of the company's unrestricted gaming license.
AA Gaming was issued a license in 2008 to operate slot machines in Doppelganger's in downtown Carson City. AA Gaming continued to operate the slot machines after the bar reopened as High Sierra Brewery under new owner Jim Phalan. Adams continues to own the building.
Adams also formerly owned half of the Carson Nugget Casino until it was purchased by the Mae Adams Trust.
Silver & Snowflakes Festival of Lights

This year, Silver & Snowflakes Holiday Tree Lighting is becoming a new tradition, Silver & Snowflakes Festival of Lights and it begins on Friday evening, December 2nd.

Sell times will be 12 noon till 7pm Saturday; 12 noon till 5 pm Sunday.
Carson City Board of Supervisors vote to move Nugget Project forward
Submitted by admin on Thu, 02/17/2011 - 10:51pmAfter a marathon meeting today, the Carson City Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 to allow staff to begin negotiations on agreements to develop the City Center/Nugget Project.
But the project may face hurdles getting final approval, as two of those voting yes expressed concerns about the project.
