Good morning Carson City. Today is Sunday, April 14 and we are officially one week away from Easter. Today is going to be a bit breezy and cloudy, but the high will be 63 degrees with a low of 43, so at least we aren't freezing. Check below to see what events await you today in our capital city.
Carson High School Theatre Arts to show The Addams Family Musical April 11-14

April 14, 2019 - 2:00pm The Carson High Theatre Arts department is proud to present "The Addams Family Musical" Friday, April 12 at 7 pm, April 13 at 2 pm and 7 pm, and April 14 at 2 pm.
"The Addams Family" is about a ghoulish American family who revolve around darkness and death. Wednesday, the daughter, falls in love with Lucas, a boy from Ohio. After many musical numbers, the ending is something quite spectacular. (I don't want to spoil it for you!)

It’s a roller derby kind of day. Catch the Carson Victory Rollers at the Carson City Community Center as they scrimmage to raise funds for Moms on the Run. You’ve still got plenty of pumpkin opportunities with the Nevada Railroad Museum’s Harvest Train or the Corley Ranch Harvest Festival in Gardnerville. It’s a classic whodunnit on the big screen. Clue can be found at Galaxy Theaters twice today and on Wednesday. Read on for more Sunday fun.

Leaves turning, wind blowing, and all things pumpkin sprouting up everywhere. It is absolutely autumn in Northern Nevada. Get ready for Halloween with your choice of pumpkin patches. Seeliger Elementary School is hosting theirs for the twenty-fifth year in a row. Take a trip on the V and T Steam Train at the Nevada Railroad Museum, actually take several trips. The annual Harvest Train event offers an all-day wristband that allows for as many rides as you’d like, in addition to museum admission. So many more fun activities are available to you, you’ll have to read on to see them all.
Carson High theatre arts announces 'Drammy Award' winners and Thespian inductees

The Carson High School Theatre Arts Department recently held its annual "Drammy Awards" in the Brewery Arts Center Ballroom. Several Carson City area students were acknowledged for excellence in performance both onstage and off, and many were given special honors including induction into the International Thespian Society, Received CHS Letters, and more.
