Heading into the middle of the work work, more sunny skies and warm temperatures are on tap for Wednesday with highs in the mid-60s. Activities around town include a yoga class offered through Carson Tahoe Health and Wellness, a midweek meditation series offered at Carson City Yoga, a firearms course, plus Salsa dancing at Yaple's Ballroom, country and pop dancing at Carson Lanes, a safety workshop for women, a Carson Valley Trails Association celebration more.

March 6, 2020 - 9:00am Carson Guns has teamed up with Reno Guns & Range to host an NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course on Wednesday March 4, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and an NRA Pistol Instructor course on March 5-6, 2020. Both courses will be taught by NRA Appointed Training Counselor Randall Brooks, a Carson City local.

February 15, 2020 - 5:00pm This year's Lincoln Day Dinner is going to reflect the energy and excitement of the 2020 presidential campaign and the Carson City Republican Committee has planned a special evening for all.
United States Representative Mark Amodei will be our Master of Ceremonies; we will also be hearing from Adam Laxalt and Nevada Republican Party Chair Michael McDonald. You will have an opportunity to meet some of our Republican politicians from Nevada like Senator James Settlemeyer, Nevada's Minority Leader, and Nevada Assemblyman Al Kramer.

The event: An IDPA type of pistol match (Int’l Defensive Pistol Association)

Safety Briefing starts at 12:30 sharp (required)
Cost: $50. Proceeds split 50/50 CCRP and the Northern Nevada Chapter of International Defensive Pistol Association (non-profit)

There's a fresh nugget of wisdom found at 1804 E. William Street, site of the giant golden rock that had once marked the location of a pawn shop for years.
A new firearms retailer opened at the space in September, bringing with it a wealth of knowledge and experience that owners Randall and Jennifer Brooks of Carson City hope to impart to area gun owners, as well as to the gun-curious.
