Carson City Host Lions Club 'Recycle Eyeglasses Campaign' a success, 383 pairs collected

The Carson City Host Lions Club recently conducted a special “Recycle Eyeglasses Campaign” over a six-week period from January 18 to February 25 in the Carson City elementary schools. Collection boxes were distributed to the classrooms to encourage the donation of used prescription eyeglasses.
Youth science organization expands STEM program in Carson City, neighboring counties with $50K Google grant

Sierra Nevada Journeys, a Northern Nevada-based organization focused on delivering science education programs to youth in order to develop critical thinking skills, is expanding their STEM Enrichment Fund to offer programming to every elementary school in four Nevada counties thanks to a $50,000 donation from Google.
