Captain Wiley assumed this command on January 16, 2016 when the USNS Carson City was christened at Austal USA Shipyards in Mobile, Alabama.

The Dinner Meeting will be held on Thursday, November 13, at Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino, 2171 Hwy 50E, Carson City.
This is a change of venue and day of the week. The social hour is at 5:30 PM followed by a buffet dinner at 6:30 PM. We will also be celebrating the Marine Corp’s 239th Birthday. Our speaker will be Colonel Scott D. Leonard, USMC, Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center.

The speaker will be Gwenn Sperling, HMCS(AW) USN (Ret’d). She will be discussing her career and more importantly her efforts as part of the JTFFA Recovery Team efforts in Vietnam and Laos to assist in bringing closure to families of MIA cases.
The Social Hour begins at 5:30 PM with the Dinner at 6:30 PM.
