In recent years more and more people are opting to shop online, and it appears this year that sentiment has only increased.

However this year, many stores are finally closing their doors on Thanksgiving Day, and more bargain hunters are turning to online deals for their holiday shopping.

In the Silver State, the Retail Association of Nevada estimates that more than 1.7 million people spent a total of $638.9 million on gifts, decorations and other merchandise over the five-day period.
