Former Vice President Joe Biden will become the 46th president of the United States after notching a projected victory in Pennsylvania Saturday morning that was cemented just a half-hour later by an expected win in Nevada.

Joe Biden’s slim lead over President Donald Trump in Nevada remained unchanged on Wednesday after several hours of will-they-or-won’t-they from state and local elections officials in Nevada who had earlier in the day said they would release new numbers in the tight and increasingly important contest.

This Sunday, Oct. 4, Biden supporters in Northern Nevada will be #RaftingForBiden along the Truckee River. Supporters have organized this socially distant outdoor event to show support for the Vice President and Senator Harris and to register volunteers for the campaign. Nevada Democrats have, for years, been fine-tuning their political machine. Two years ago was, perhaps, their best proof of concept. Democrats spirited away a key U.S. Senate seat, took control of the governor’s mansion for the first time in two decades and secured a veto-proof majority in one chamber of the Legislature while retaining a majority in the other.
